Literacy Aotearoa Wellington is a not-for-profit, treaty-based education centre which caters to the literacy and numeracy needs of people in the Wellington region.
We have been working with people in the Wellington community for over 25 years.
Literacy Aotearoa Wellington provides free and accessible literacy & numeracy services:
Voluntary Tutors - one-to-one literacy support from trained
volunteers.
Whaia Te Ara Ako - a full-time Foundation Focused Opportunities Training Opportunities Programme (FTTO) for students working towards the National Certificate of Employment Skills
Literacy and Numeracy Classes- group based literacy and numeracy tuition during the day
Workplace Literacy Tuition- employee targeted literacy and numeracy support for individuals or programmes designed for specific workplaces
Apprentice Support- targeted literacy and numeracy support for people completing trade qualifications
