Literacy Aotearoa Wellington is seeking a full-time Team Coordinator to help support and develop our organisation.

The position will suit someone who is in comfortable in a dynamic, complex environment and can build successful relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including staff, volunteers, students, community organisations and government departments.

You will be a strong administrator with the flexibility to learn and adapt, turning your hand to anything required. Initiative, attention to detail and the ability to communicate and problem solve come naturally to you. You have excellent communication skills, see the big picture amongst the detail and your strong interpersonal skills will make you the touchstone of the team and help everything stick together.
    The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong administration skills
  • The ability to organize time and manage competing demands
  • Excellent communication, judgment and relationship management skills
  • An analytical mind and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes. Familiarity with Access and/or database systems would be particularly advantageous
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • An understanding of and ability to work within Tikanga Maori
  • Experience working with diverse cultures, organisations and communities
  • Knowledge and experience of the adult education and training sector would be a distinct advantage
