Juma first started his journey with Literacy Aotearoa Wellington when he was matched with one of our volunteers. In 2010 he joined the Maranga Mai programme, before beginning with Whaia Te Ara Ako and working to complete his National Certificate in Employment Skills. He still meets regularly with his volunteer tutor, Lauren, for one on one support and hopes to join the NZ Police.

Juma is a wonderful example of the wide range of literacy levels that are catered for at LAW, and how a variety of different options are available to suit different learning needs and life circumstances.
